Dr. Mark Geyer and a team of researchers have utilized the Behavioral Pattern Monitor (BPM) concept previously used with mice, to analyze human behavioral patterns. Using Clever Sys’ TopScan program, researchers were able to demonstrate different BPMs in bipolar and schizophrenia patients as compared to controls, and further classified differences in exploration and motor activity between bipolar patients as compared to schizophrenia patients.
